​

       I was born and raised in the small town of Aroney, Alabama in DeKalb County.  I attended Crossville High School (High School Diploma - 2006) then went on to Snead State Community College (A.A.S - History Education - 2009) and then to Jacksonville State University (B.S.E. - Secondary History Education - 2012).  My hobbies consist of watching sports, playing sports (golf, basketball, football, tennis), fishing, & jet skiing and of course spending time with my wife.  Sports are very important to me.  My favorite sports teams are the Alabama Crimson Tide (NCAA Football), North Carolina Tarheels (NCAA B-ball), New York Yankees (MLB), and Los Angeles Lakers (NBA).  I am also the head Middle School Softball for Gadsden City Schools.  I am very passionate about teaching Social Studies. The subject of History/Social Studies plays a vital role in becoming young adults and productive citizens, and as an educator, I have the privilege of helping our youth become the best informed citizens they can be.
